Your Crew
CAPTAIN Janne Malmstrom & CHEF Kerstin Malmstrom
Close relationships are often developed between our guests and the crew. With some of the every-year-returning-guests we experience a friendship which reaches far outside the days of sailing. When choosing our crew we look for people with experience of life, a curiosity for other people's stories and an ability to listen. We find those characteristics important for being able to create interesting relationship between people.
Janne Malmstrom
Janne likes challenges, either it is in stormy weather or running comprehensive IT projects for the government. After thirty years of giving people the opportunity to be a part of his experiences from the sea he conveys a feeling of rough seamanship together with a warm welcoming. With Janne you never feel the atmosphere is uncomfortable or feel like a beginner a board, he explains it all to you patiently.
Kerstin Malmstrom
Kerstin´s mix of experiences has created a personality that sets an atmosphere a board built on our key phrase, customer care. She serves newly baked bread for breakfast and in the afternoon the yacht again has an aroma of a bakery. She anticipates the guests and their needs either it is a question of an extra quilt or a particular tea for breakfast. When Kerstin serves her three course meals with a smile on her face she personifies the expression "A Happy Ship".

How was your overall experience?
Excellent and amazing experience! We loved how much sailing we were able to do.

Did the crew live up to your expectations?
Yes, beyond our expectations. Janne was an excellent sailing teacher and Kiersten’s food was the best we have ever had on any sailing trip we have done.

How would you describe the food and drinks?
Food was beyond our expectations. We had gourmet meals for every meal. She did an excellent job at meeting all our different dietary requirements.

Were you involved in planning the itinerary?
Yes, we told them everything we liked but ultimately we trusted them to know where all the best spots were. We are planners in general for our trips but we have learned to play it by ear on sailing trips due to weather and usually the captain knows better spots than we could ever research.

What did you like most about your charter?
The sailing! We really loved that we were able to take part in all the workings of the boat. It really gave us a feeling of being part of a team.

Can you give me any hints as to how I can provide my clients with an even better experience?
Honestly, we wouldn’t change a thing. You answered all our questions before the trip so we were well prepared.

Is there anything in particular you wish you had known in advance?
We have been on a few catamaran/boat charters previously so we were fairly experienced at boat life. We had no idea how much fun we were going to have sailing.

Is there anything else I should know?
Our best boating trip to date!

It was absolutely great. The skipper and his wife were delightful, the food fantastic, and the sailing sublime. It was cold to begin with but the sun came through and we needed up being very lucky wit the weather. Janne the skipper was really interesting and had a huge wealth of experience and was very encouraging for everyone to join in with the minimum of fuss. I would strongly recommend sailing in the Swedish archipelago as a complete breath of fresh air to the Mediterranean. It was so clean everyone so helpful and they all speak English. Perfect
