CAPTAIN Stathis Polymenidis & COOK/HOST Dimitris Poulis
Captain - Stathis Polymenidis (Greek)
Born in 1991, Captain Stathis has had a deep connection with the sea from an early age. He has participated in numerous sailing races and holds a speedboat operator license, with experience in various speedboat excursions across the Aegean Sea. For the past five years, he has been working as a professional skipper on sailing yachts, conducting both daily and weekly charters around the Greek islands. Stathis is known for his strong professionalism and excellent navigation skills, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all guests onboard. His calm yet cheerful demeanor makes everyone feel at ease, creating a welcoming atmosphere throughout the journey. Outside of sailing, Stathis enjoys driving classic cars and exploring new destinations. Season 2026 will be his second year onboard ZALINA.
Cook/Host - Dimitris Poulis (Greek)
Cook Dimitris is a motivated and service-oriented professional with a genuine passion for the sea and hospitality. For him, sailing is not merely a hobby but a true way of life. Through active participation in sailing races, he has developed a strong understanding of life on board, teamwork, discipline, and safety at sea. As a certified cook with a particular love for Mediterranean cuisine, he specializes in preparing fresh, healthy, and flavorful dishes. He is confident working in a galley environment, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organization, and efficiency even under pressure. In addition, Dimitris is a certified diver, fully comfortable in marine environments and attentive to safety procedures. This additional qualification allows him to confidently support and contribute to water-based activities when needed. With many years of experience in service and hospitality, he has developed excellent guest care skills, strong discretion, and the ability to anticipate clients’ needs. Friendly, adaptable, and calm under pressure, he combines a strong work ethic with a positive attitude. His goal is always to create a welcoming, relaxed, and memorable onboard experience for every guest.

Thank you for the most magical week, you could not have been kinder and more attentive. We loved every day of our trip and are sad to see it end.
The beautiful swimming spots, getting to know beautiful islands and towns, the people of Greece and the FOOD, the FOOD, the FOOD! We almost had to roll back home.
We are very sad the trip has come to it's end. It was so wonderful to be able to spend time as a family, under your care.
We are already dreaming of our next trip.

This week has been about so many dreams come true! Sailing Greece with my amazing family was made brilliant every day,thanks to Stathis & Ioanna. This 'dynamic duo' made every day memorable, marvellous and fun. The hospitality was detailed and thoughtful, the food delicious, comfortable beds and spectacular scenery and swimming.

Dear Captain Stathis and Ioanna,
Seven days, seven nights upon the sea with Captain Stathis steering skillfully. Through Hydra's charm and Aegina' grace, he found each perfect anchoring place. The sails went up with morning light, a glorious and stirring sight, while turquoise, blue and emerald waves, danced around our island days.
Sweet Ioanna, angel of the gallery, fed us fetta by the alley. Breakfast fit for gods on high beneath the endless Grecian sky.
We paddleboarded, swam and played, with seabob adventures daily, made for Poros shares to Dokos Bay, to Moni's peaceful hidden way. Thtough Chenesar's waters crystal clear, Captain's parking skill, we cheer! No dock too tight, no cove too small, he mastered evey mooring call. Greek hospitality wrapped us tight. In cuisine dreams and starlight night.
