The Abacos are part of the Bahamian island chain. They are located approximately 175 miles east of Palm Beach, Florida. The Abacos themselves are a chain of around 120 islands. Great Abaco is the main island with string of barrier islands lying off to the east. The body of water in between is known as the Sea of Abaco. Protected from the Atlantic this area offers shallow and calm waters ideal for sailing yachts and power boats alike.
