With summer around the corner the Med season will be heating up. Yachts will be gathering in Monaco, Cannes, the Amalfi Coast and many other locales an the beautiful Mediterranean Sea. The Amalfi coast offers much to see and do. Not far from Naples is Mt. Vesuvius and the ruins of the once thriving Roman city of Pompeii, which was destroyed in the eruption of AD 79. A few miles from the coast and well worth a visit is the breathtakingly beautiful islands of Capri and Ischia. Up-market and always busy, Capri is considered to be the marine gateway to the stunning Amalfi Coast. A boat tour of the Blue Grotto sea cave is a must if the weather permits. Ischia is the largest island in the Bay of Naples and is popular for its beaches, particularly the north coast in the summer months. The hillside towns are picturesque and quiet. The south coast remains relatively untouched by tourism. Idyllic with its twisting narrow streets, picturesque harbor and good beach.
This summer the 144ft Berger yacht MIM will be based out of Naples in southwestern Italy and ready for charter in the western Med. MIM offers one of the most spacious layouts for a boat of its size.
