Thank you sooooooo much for giving us the trip of a lifetime!  it was hands down the best time we've ever had altogether!  it was the kind of experience that will stay with us forever!  it was the perfect mix of adventure, luxury and friendship.  Non-stop laughter and a lifetime of memories!  The boat was perfectly equipped with everything we could possibly need - clear paddleboards, a floating dock, top notch snorkeling gear, water scooters - and an endless supply of cold cocktails!  Every detail was thoughtful and high-end, yet the vibe was relaxed and welcoming.  Waking up to a new stunning bay each day, snorkeling through vibrant coral reefs paddleboarding at sunset, and enjoying gourmet meals under the starts - it was like living inside a dream!<br />

Whether we were enjoying cocktails at sunset from a quiet cove or exploring hidden beaches, we were constantly in awe of the experience!  The whole trip was a blissful escape from reality and we cannot thank you two enough!!!!

To start off....it was a wonderful Happy Birthday trip!  You guys are the perfect people to make everyone feel safe and loved.  Even though you were probably annoyed out of your minds from me saying "yeehaw," "circle" or singing some random song. 🙂 I know you'll miss our sunscreen sessions and telling you guys to throw each other off the boat.  I hope the turtles and tarpons bring you more table setting sea shells and you don't burn your fingers on the fake candles! 🙂  Jimmy, keep on being your funny jolly self and Courtney keep on being your beautiful hard working self.  Thank you both so much, you will be in my heart forever!

Snorkeling, turtles, morning rainbows, funky beach bars, live music, Jim’s drink of the day, paddle boarding, shooting stars, endless giggles, and Courtney‘s AMAZING meals are just a few of the memories we will take with us. Real downtime in pure relaxation together was what these lifelong friends living in different cities needed. Every detail was so well planned and thoughtful. We loved exploring different islands each day, sleeping in a different cove each night, and even “battling” a few squalls!<br />

We couldn't begin to thank you both for the experience you have provided to us all.  We're blessed to have this experience!  We will cherish every second we've gotten to spend with you both and all of our friends.  This journey has truly been a once in a lifetime experience that we will remember and cherish for the rest of our lives!  We not only got gourmet meals prepared from Captain Courtney, but we also got to experience a never-ending journey island to island.  From snorkeling with small bus-sized sting rays to jumping off the deck of the Willy T in the middle of the night...we've made so many lifelong memories.  Much like the pirate gold buried beneath the beach, the Virgin Islands have proven to be a treasure trove of new experiences found at every stop we made.  Big thanks to the expert captains/tour guides Jim and Courtney for making it all possible!

This experience has been unlike any other trip our family has taken.  We appreciate so much the way you welcomed us into your home and guided us to the most beautiful, magical sites around the islands.  Your knowledge and expertise of the area lent itself to a vacation perfectly catered to our families interest.  We came into this trip not knowing exactly what to expect, but we are leaving with every item on our bucket list checked off and with memories that will last forever.  Each meal was delicious.   Each bay and cove brought new sites and adventures.  We will never forget the sea turtles at Magens Bay or the eagle ray, stingrays, and nurse shark at Waterlemon Cay!  You curated the most wonderful trip for us, and we are so lucky to have spent this time aboard Makin' Memories! What a dream vacation!  When David said he wanted to be on a boat for his birthday, in the water with his sons and wife, I knew Makin' Memories exceeded his expectations in mind...The beautiful boat, incredible food, the beautiful beaches and snorkeling .  Courtney and Jim, you two made it even better.  I can't thank you enough for your level of expertise, attention to detail, and attention to us.  We all felt relaxed and the boys gained so much more confidence in the water and that is priceless!  Until the next time... We can't wait to make more Memories with you both!

On Makin" Memories our real trip began. From Colorado, North Dakota and Texas we came!  With the sun, sky and drink in my hand, in the noon days light we set our course.  The memories made with each day at a unique and beautiful spot will be unforgettable. Your knowledge of everywhere was truly appreciated. This will be a trip that will not be forgotten!

Memories made!  Dolphins, spotted eagle ray leaping at sunset, turtles galore and so many fish!   Courtney -  the food was outstanding and thanks for keeping us so well fed. We missed our one chance at a fish, but thank you to the squid who sacrificed himself on the stair for trying to help us 🙂  Thank you to Jim for braving the tropical downpour of cruise Bay to come get us from town in his trusty dinghy!  The bean bags and shade sail, ice cold local ale, all fun and wonderful. Thanks for sharing some of your favorite sites with us and we hope you enjoy your time in Grenada!  We hope you have calm seas and fair winds!   Thank you for making our first trip here so fun!

Jim and Courtney saw that there was attention to every detail and the food was amazing! We felt relaxed and attended to as soon as we stepped foot on Makin Memories. Makin' Memories was everything we could have dreamed for, all bottled up into one perfect experience. From the delicious meals to the beautiful landscape, and all the vibrant sea life, this trip was truly the best!  Each cove brought a new adventure full of laughs, fishing and firsts .  On our snorkel trip we saw an octopus swimming through the water and quickly take camouflage.  The spotted eagle rays were out in full force on their hunt for breakfast!  We were able to spot 4 majestically fluttering through the ocean!   A lot of memories were created and some were re-lived.   We got to see our parents honeymoon location and swim with the sea turtles in the same spot they did 31 years ago!   An amazing experience all around, curated by the best!  Jim and Courtney, thank you both for being our personal tour guides,  preparing Michelin star restaurant grade food every meal, andbeing the best captains!   We can't wait to come back!

The " sizzle reel":   under sail, dolphins at one end of the boat, a Barracuda on the line in the stern; secluded coves with spectacular snorkeling; lobster birthday dinner;  paddling around with the turtles; horizontal on every surface - in the bow, at the table; unbelievably awesome care from both of you - Courtney's five-star cuisine, Jim's anticipation of what we might want next and vigilance when we were in the water.   I came wired from too much work, and by day 2 I needed to be lifted with a spatula;  sailing, sailing, sailing;  seeing nurse sharks,  dolphins, spotted eagle rays, fish of all sizes, shapes, and colors; fabulous water toys including perfect gear and flotation goodies; laughing with everyone on the fly bridge; awesome rum punches with exciting names - Zombie, Painkiller; seeing my brother at the helm; listening to audio books surrounded by the sparkling Caribbean; swimming off the boat whenever we felt like it,  just getting this time together... And getting to watch the sizzle reel at the end - perfect finale for a perfect vacation!  Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!

From the sunny and beautiful Geneva, Florida, to the sunnier and more beautiful USVI. What an amazing way to spend our 30th anniversary! From the Dinghy pick up all the way through our last day we felt amazing hospitality with spectacular food with island flare, and beautiful presentation. My favorite parts of the trip were swimming with turtles, a great on-boat workout Sunday morning with a stunning view, and watching the sunset from the sugar mill overlooking Waterlemon Bay. My wife’s favorite parts were the private beach and snorkeling across from Turtle Bay Beach (Henley Cay), and the delicious dishes every day. If it was possible to bottle up Memories, Makin' Memories could sell them and never work again. From sunrise to sunset, this trip was so special for our family. Every meal, every snorkel, every dinghy ride, and every “Bush wagon” [specialty family cocktail 😉]. Thank you for allowing us to experience your wonderful home. The crew: Jim and Courtney are amazing! We had a three generation group and they went above and beyond to make us all comfortable. They are knowledgeable about the area and took us to amazing locations. Courtney’s cooking with Jim’s assist is beyond incredible. Each meal was presented with beauty, and most importantly, fantastic taste. They really made this an extra special vacation.<br />
The Boat: We love the outdoor space. Several places to hang out in both shade and sun. And the water toys were so fun. We really enjoyed relaxing on the float, playing with the SubLue, paddle boarding, and hotdogging behind the Dinghy. The cabins are comfortable, especially the mattresses. Courtney (and Jim) thought of every amenity for our stay.<br />
The USVI: location after location of great snorkeling, smooth white sandy beaches, clear clean blue/green water, and beautiful hills and mountains. Each location was more beautiful than the next. <br />

We had the most epic spring break! I never could imagine how beautiful this trip would be or all the amazing memories we could make. Makin’ memories is a perfect name. When my son suggested this trip to help me with my bucket list, I did not know what to expect. It by far exceeded my expectations. The food was amazing Courtney. Jim thanks for being a great captain and for sharing your toys. The Dolphins were a highlight!

Thank you so much for helping us create the most amazing memories on the most amazing trip! I cannot think of a single time our family got along so well, and you are both to thank for that. The meals, the sites, and the laughs were all dream worthy. I am so grateful to you both for taking such good care of us, and for your unfailing kindness and generosity. How can we ever thank you for the best trip ever! Personally, I have never felt this relaxed and cared for on any vacation! Courtney, the delicious meal you prepare were above our expectations and made us all feel so healthy and satisfied. I’m leaving with some of your recipes for sure. I doubt they will be as good as yours, but I will try. Jim, you were the captain of fun! We had a ball on the boat toys and off island adventures. You both thought of every detail before we could have imagined. I cannot say enough about your beautiful boat either. No question it was the prettiest out there. Thank you both SO SO much for the vacation of my dreams. I truly appreciate everything you did for my family on this trip, and I am happy to have made two new friends! You two are the best!!!

I expected to have a great time, I expected gorgeous blue water, and I expected to enjoy being taken care of.  What I did not expect was to meet two incredible people who put their heart and soul into every single part of the experience. Courtney, the food was beautiful scrumptious and healthy. You are a master chef. I so much appreciate the thought and care that went into every meal.  Jim - I dub the “possibility man“!  Every toy that got used, every drink that got drunk, every jump that got jumped - you suggested what was possible, and we knew that taking these suggestions would lead to nothing but a great time. You both worked behind the scenes to keep everything on track, and all we had to do was “Be“. You executed every expectation and met hopes we didn’t even know we had. Best trip ever!!!

Thank you so much for your wonderful hospitality. You have made this vacation so special for me. The beautiful sites were amazing. Courtney, your wonderful meals were absolutely amazing. And Jim all the work you did getting the toys ready and always being there for us - especially with the hotdog toy!  Everything was six stars!  We made super memories on this trip!

This was an amazing experience, especially for a couple like us that hasn’t done a whole lot of water adventures. The sites were well picked and all food selections were very considerate and well thought out. We appreciate everything!

What a fantastic trip! The food was amazing! You guys are terrific hosts, who went above and beyond in all aspects. Every day was memorable, but the second to last day was the cherry on top. On that day, we caught the mahi-mahi and within a couple of hours you guys had cleaned it and served fresh ceviche for an appetizer, and then an unbelievable fillet. Top-notch food and service to make that happen. The locations you guys picked were all great, and the snorkeling was out of this world. Thank you guys for the unforgettable trip, being amazing hosts, and all the memories that were made these last six days.

Thank you for this amazing week we will never forget. Loved the boat, the community, and the off-the-beaten-path adventures. We could not have asked for more. We hope to be back very soon!

Courtney and Jim are owner operators and work as a fantastic team.  The new boat upkeep and details to guest amenities is impeccable.  Both take pride in the care and comfort of their guests. 

“The beautiful catamaran's name Makin' Memories is exactly what all of us did from the moment we boarded the boat until our adventurous vacation came to a close.  Courtney and Jim went the extra mile to ensure we had our wish list of what we would like to do during the week happen.  It was incredibly important for us to spend time as a family, laugh, relax, and be outside.  Our 2 teenage boys had a ton of fun.  Let’s just say my husband and I were thrilled the cell phones were not the main focus of the day!<br />

“What a fantastic way to celebrate Christmas through New Year’s!! Captain Jim and Courtney thought of everything and left us longing to come back for more. “Makin’ Memories” held up to her name as we ventured, snorkeled, sailed and scuba dove. Courtney (a certified Culinary Nutritionist) provided endless meals, each one packed with variety, color and flavor. No one in our party is going home hungry. Captain Jim at the helm navigated us from location to location providing us with breathtaking views of the island while giving us plenty of time to relax and explore. We’re looking forward to coming back in the future!”
